Manager of Executive Communications, Nissan Motor Corporation

Steven Silver manages executive communications for Nissan Motor Corporation. In that role, Silver has helped to build a global executive communications program involving more than 20 of Nissan’s senior executives to position them as thought leaders in their fields and protect and enhance the company’s reputation.

Silver has spent more than 15 years as a political and corporate communications professional. Prior to joining Nissan, he served as Senior Speechwriter for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. He previously served as Senior Writer and Chief Reporting Officer at the United States Department of the Treasury’s Office of Financial Stability. He also served as Speechwriter for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee during the 2008 and 2010 congressional campaign cycles.

A native of Stony Brook, New York, Silver holds a B.A. from the State University of New York at Oswego and an M.A. from the George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management. He is based out of Nissan’s global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan and resides in Tokyo.
