National GOTV Digital Director, Bernie 2016 Campaign

Melissa Byrne is senior political and community organizer at the intersection of online and offline organizing. She splits her work between organizing to elect Democratic candidates and winning progressive policy. She’s a leader in the work to make college free and end student loans. She’s proud to have contributed to winning NH twice in 2016: first as Bernie’s digital director and then as MoveOn’s state director which Hillary and Sen. Hassan won by less than a 1000 votes. Melissa ran for DNC Vice Chair in 2016 and has stuck around to work together to build up a strong, progressive Democratic Party. You can usually find her in Philly and always on twitter @mcbyrne.
